Johanne Whitmore researches and analyzes government policies to reduce greenhouse gas pollution. She works with a range of stakeholders and also acts as a spokesperson in the media. Johanne has been a policy analyst with the Pembina Institute's Climate Change Program since 2004. The program is a centre of expertise on Canadian greenhouse gas reduction policy, with a particular focus on industrial emissions and emissions trading. Johanne has worked as a climate researcher with the Laboratory for Paleoclimatology and Climatology at the University of Ottawa, where she obtained an M.Sc. in geography.
