Jaisel is a Program Strategist and Senior Policy Analyst at the Pembina Institute. He first worked with Pembina in 2002-2003 as an analyst, investigating life cycle impacts of different electricity generation options and supporting community energy planning. He has since worked on sustainable development policy for Natural Resources Canada, on urban water and sanitation issues for an NGO in Senegal, and as a project evaluator in Southern Madagascar. He rejoined the Pembina Institute in 2006 as a Senior Assistant to the Executive Director. Jaisel holds bachelor's degrees in Chemical Engineering and in Urban Studies and Planning from MIT, and a master's degree in Anthropology from the University of Sussex.
